Boule weights

To enjoy playing petanque, you need to play with a boule that feels comfortable, which means choosing one that is suited to your shape and size.

  Obut's advice

The most usual weights for men: 700 – 730 g
The most usual weights for women: 680 – 710 g

Depending on your type of play, you will opt for a different weight:
pointers prefer a heavier boule because it stops faster
conversely, shooters prefer a lighter boule, because less effort is required, and the shot is more precise.

Obut makes all the approved weights

To meet the needs of all types of petanque players, Obut offers them a comprehensive range of boules, in all the approved weights, a very wide choice suited to all shapes and sizes of players' hands.
